Planted Speed-Friending Events are for every kind of vegan and vegetarian, for dating and friendship. These are LGBTQIA friendly events where, instead of matching up couples, everyone at the event meets EVERYONE else! We will help you find veg friends in your area, and possibly more, in a safe environment with lots of delicious vegan food!
Here's how it works:
1. Get your ticket!
This will guarantee your spot at the event. Your ticket cost includes a voucher to the restaurant where we'll speed-friend, so you get $$ off your food and drinks.
2. Fill out your friendship profile!
We'll ask you some basic questions, some of them are required and some are not! Speed-friending is for everyone, including those who want to date other vegans and vegetarians. This will help us create your nametag for the event.
3. Join us for dinner!
An hour before the speed-friending portion of the evening starts, we'll have a group dinner. Join us, spend your free cash (from the ticket!) and chill out before the event. This is how you'll meet your hosts for the night and ease into the next step.
4. Speed-Friend your heart out!
You'll be given your seat assignment and the speed-friending portion of the event will take place from there! We get five minutes with each person at the event, no matter WHO they are or if they're there to date or make friends. We'll hand out note-taking tools and help guide you to the next table when your time is up.
5. Get Matched!
After the event, we'll send you a survey where you'll let us know who you'd like to match with, either for dating or friendship, or both! You can pick as many people as you want - and we'll message you back to tell you who you've matched with, and give you their preferred method of contact.
